There are more benefits than you might think
What is E-learning?
Many have never, or have only to a certain extent, been acquainted with E-learning, and therefore we will inform you about the type of teaching.
E-learning is a web-based type of teaching that is intended for all who want to have a flexible study schedule. Through E-learning you can receive teaching across geographical distances and independent of meeting times.
Several hundred students take courses through E-learning every year with the At Work Academy and with good results. The type of teaching has been tested over many years, and the experience is surprisingly positive.
Teacher Hanne Offersen has said: ”E-learning has been perfect for me. I could study whenever I had the time and felt like studying. The course material was superb, and if I had any questions I could always find relevant links and other students to share experiences with”.
The type of teaching and preparation
First and foremost it is important to clarify that the At Work E-learning is not like reading a book online. It is a tailored course with speak, text and pictures, combined with exercises and quizzes.
The teaching is basically like generel teaching. You receive a text book in paper, and you have the opportunity to print off the presentations as you go, in order for you to take notes as in lectures where your presence is required.
E-learning is comparable to being present in a lecture at the university
Before beginning the modules you must read the text book, which accompanies the modules.
The modules are completed step by step. You will hear the speaker go into depth with what is being reviewed, you have the opportunity to search in the speaker’s text if you wish to hear some of the spoken parts again.
The best way to understand this type of E-learning is through experience, and for this reason we offer free test modules before sign up, so that you can become familiar with the type of teaching.
Claus Sloth: "I suffer from lyslexia and I have a hard time reading and writing but E-learning has helped me to complete the course and with a really good result”.
Will I be able to figure it out?
Studying online is new for everyone. It is different than classroom teaching but E-learning comes with a number of advantages:
- Receiving teaching from home, no matter where you are in the world
- Studying at your own pace
- The teaching files are available 24 hours a day
- Taking the modules as many times as you like
- You are always a part of a group of students
- You can chat and share experiences with other students
- You can begin right away
- You can do the exercises as you go to evaluate your understanding
Poul Adamsen from the Municipality of Favrskov has said , "It is a nice and relaxing way to undergo a course, and it has one great advantage: That you can go back and go through the material being taught again, when there is a need for it”
